My creative process is pretty unorthodox, and primarily self-taught. Many of my current techniques for applying paint have been learned through self-practice and an obsession to always push my own boundaries and reach beyond my limited beliefs. I work mostly with acrylics, pastels, oil paint, and procreate and plan to continue exploring their properties. At the same time, expanding into more mediums such as animation, graphic design, music production, and motion graphics. Abstract art has always spoken to me for its ability to completely shift our perspective and ways of looking at the world. We can take something and put in a completely different context and create a whole new meaning out of it. I appreciate the way that it can question and change our preconceived notions, social norms, and limiting beliefs. Art has a way of unifying people from different backgrounds by giving them an experience they can all connect to. Within my work you can see a lot of words or phrases that may be thought provoking or uplifting. I typically use very expressive strokes, vibrant colors, and different textures. All my life I have questioned authority, been rebellious and been eccentric; this shows through in my art. I have a deep disgust for tyranny and facism and want to see all humans live with dignity and freedom. My hope is to create an experience that leaves the viewer feeling inspired and empowered. I want to spread awareness around the ideas and themes of compassion, honesty, oneness and love. I want to build bridges where there was once separation, trail blaze new paths towards liberation, and create spaces that breed unity.
